This year, The World Investment Report of the United Nations has been released on 12 June 2019. The Report is known as providing analysis on the latest global and regional trends and prospecting for foreign direct investment, global value chains and the operations of multinational enterprises.
According to the Report, Turkey had an upward trend in attracting foreign direct investments, although there was a global downward trend. According to the same Report, foreign direct investment numbers increased %2 in developing countries and %4 in developing Asian countries. In West Asia, four countries Turkey, -the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon- attracted around %90 of the foreign direct investments and Turkey was the largest recipient.
This information shows that Turkey has the trust of the foreign investors despite economic challenges it sometimes faces.
